Short, because I'm not a lawyer. I'm two eyes. The people who run me wrote the rest.
Who you're agreeing with
Budbud is provided by IZIKEY, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands, KVK number 42052137 ("we"). By installing or using Budbud you agree to these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.
Using Budbud
You may use Budbud for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must be at least 16 years old. Don't try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or resell the app or the service behind it.
AI drafts
- Wishes are written by AI and labelled "AI draft". They can be wrong, odd or not what you meant. Read them before you send them.
- You decide what to send, and you're responsible for it. Budbud never sends messages on your behalf.
- Don't use Budbud to harass, threaten or deceive anyone, to impersonate someone, or to create illegal or sexual content.
- You can use the drafts you generate however you like. Your notes and wishes stay yours.
- If a draft is inappropriate, report it from the app. We review reports.
Free wishes and fair use
The free version includes a limited number of wishes per month, shown in the app. To keep the service working for everyone, we may limit unusual volumes of requests, including on Premium.
Premium
- Premium is sold through Google Play. Google handles payment, and Google Play's terms apply to the purchase.
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in Google Play; Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Lifetime Premium is a one-time purchase that stays active for as long as we offer Budbud.
- Premium starts as soon as you buy it. You agree to that, and you acknowledge that under EU law this means your 14-day right of withdrawal ends once Premium is unlocked. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy.
- If prices change, existing subscribers are told in advance, as Google Play requires.
Reminders
We work hard to make reminders arrive on time, but phones can delay or block notifications through battery and system settings we don't control. Budbud is a helpful nudge, not a guarantee. Don't rely on it for anything critical.
Changes and availability
We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering Budbud, we'll tell you in the app or on this site in advance where we can. If we change these terms in a significant way, we'll tell you in the app; continuing to use Budbud means you accept the new terms.
Liability
Budbud is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as a missed birthday or a wish that didn't land. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
Ending things
You can stop using Budbud at any time by uninstalling it. We may block an install that breaks these terms, for example by abusing the AI service.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless consumer law gives you the right to go to a court where you live. Before that, please email us; most problems are solved faster that way.
